Aerobic or Cardio Exercises

One common question I get asked on a regular basis is, what are the differences between aerobic and cardio types of exercise?High-intensity exercise generally means regularly providing more effort during a movement or moving at a faster pace, either results in burning a great amount of energy. Typical examples would be sprinting, weight training, football or basketball. Low-intensity exercise generally means working out with less effort, but keeping up a consistent pace.Aerobic or cardio exercise basically makes our body muscles to do extra work and there by helps in burning calories and losing the body weight. Not only is that the aerobic or cardio exercises helps in increasing of our metabolic rate by facilitating in the enlargement of our muscle tissues. It is beneficial because our muscles are considered to be more metabolically active in comparison to our body fat.

There are basically two different opinion groups when it comes to aerobic or cardio exercises the first one believing in being 'slow & steady' and the other group which believes in 'high intensity'. According to some, the high intensity aerobic exercises are the best way to lose fat permanently. It is found to be very beneficial for people with slow metabolism rate. It not only helps in burning calories but also helps in efficiently burning the accumulated fat.Running is an excellent form of aerobic exercise too which can be done both outdoor as well as indoor according to your convenience. Nowadays due to space constraint many people prefer doing it on a treadmill. Bicycling is another popular and simple to do exercise which facilitates in losing the body weight. You have the option of doing it both outdoor and indoor with the help of fitness equipment. It basically helps in reducing weight in the lower part of our body.

Running and jogging are among the best of cardio exercises. If you love being outdoors to breathe fresh air, there is nothing to beat this experience. Any athlete is necessarily required to go jogging while training. Apart from athletes and experts, people who like going for exercises recommend jogging be adopted as a regular exercise. Running is considered to be an ideal cardiovascular exercise for those wanting to burn fat.Once you have been sensible with your food intake the next step is to exercise regularly. I would suggest around 5 times a week. If you haven't exercised for some time start off gently. It may be an idea to warm up first with a few gentle stretches etc. to get the blood circulating. To begin with just do what you are comfortable with. Do not try too much as the last thing you want is pulled muscles, which will halt your progress. Even brisk walking is sufficient to increase your heart rate. A nice stroll in the countryside is great with the added benefit of some fresh air for your lungs.
